WS 2022 Energy-Saving Measures in Force from Oct 1, 2022
Energy-saving measures in the context of energy prices: On Wednesday, September 13, 2022, the Rector’s Collegium discussed regime measures that will be in force from 1 October 2022 for the duration of the Winter Semester 2022/2023.
The measures aim to save energy costs which are in the hundreds of thousands of crowns per day, while minimally interfering – they concern individual buildings so that sufficient capacity remains for full-time teaching and examinations. The greatest restrictions affect the Old Building, which is the least energy-optimal building, where heating will be restricted at selected times. Hot water supply will be restricted throughout the VSE.
The academic year schedule for the winter semester remains unchanged.
By adopting these measures, the VSE management expects savings of millions of crowns, while at the same time it is committed to the requirement to maintain full-time teaching and testing as much as possible. We would like to thank all students for their understanding and encourage them to take common energy-saving measures, which everyone can use to help manage the current energy market situation.
