CIMA Accreditation

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme at the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) has been officially granted CIMA accreditation. This recognition opens the door for our graduates to pursue an accelerated pathway to the CGMA Professional Qualification — a globally respected certification for management accountants.

What does this mean for our students?

Graduates of the accredited BBA programme are now eligible for Level-2 exemptions and may be awarded up to four exemptions (BA1, BA2, BA3, and BA4). This enables them to enter the CGMA qualification directly at the Operational level. Importantly, students do not need to submit additional documents — exemptions are granted automatically upon registration, based on their educational background.

Why is this significant?

This accelerated route brings substantial benefits for our graduates. It highlights VŠE as one of the most respected institutions in the Czech Republic offering a modern, internationally recognized business degree. For students who aspire to build a career in management accounting, the CIMA accreditation makes the BBA programme an especially attractive choice.

In the future, a deeper partnership with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), through the CGMA University Program, could further strengthen the specialization in management accounting within our faculty and enhance opportunities for our students.

With this achievement, VŠE continues to expand its reputation as a university that not only delivers academic excellence but also provides students with a competitive edge in their professional careers.
